Sister Mayes has worked along side Bishop Neal Roberson
(Blackberry Recording Artist - Press My Way Through, Awesome God
and It’s On The Way) as local area Managing Assistant, in his
effort to bring the "Destroy the Curse" conference tour to the
Mississippi Delta. In this position she was responsible for
promotion, registration, exhibit management, guest services and
event closure. Sister Mayes had the occasion, in the administration
of these event management assistance obligations, to serve such
artist as Dr. Marvin Sapp, The Williams Brothers, Evelyn Turrentine-Agee,
Harvey Watkins, Pastor Milton Bingham, Luther Barnes and the late
Chequita Lumzy of the Lumzy Sisters.
Under the guidance of the Holy Spirit and the blessings of her
pastor she has founded W.I.N.G.S. (Warriors Inspiring & Nurturing
Godly Servants), a fellowship ministry composed of ministerial
leaders from across the Mississippi Delta, affiliations include
Pastors, First Ladies, Ministers, Recorded Songstress and other
Servants of the Faith. W.I.N.G.S. endeavors to be a ministry of
Helps, which is to be of service to ministry leaders and all those
providing the gift of service to God’s people. The basic vision is
to build up fellow Christians that they may be refreshed to continue
their pursuit of God’s purpose in their lives. This is administered
by providing a time of relaxation that these leaders may have the
opportunity to restore the joy of the Lord, network, teach and learn
from each other in a sheltered environment.
Currently employed by Mississippi Valley State University, she
administrates the clerical support for the Office of Institutional
Research and Effectiveness and serves as the Grant Evaluator for the
university’s P.A.S.T.E. (Peers Against Spreading the Epidemic)
Project. Sister Mayes has had the opportunity to learn and grow in
the administration of varies occupations. She has gained
certifications as a Grant Specialist and Grant Reviewer from the
National Grant Writers Association. As well as certification as a
Prospect Researcher from the Association of Professional Researchers
for Advancement. She is a graduate of Mississippi Delta Community
College, where she received an AS Degree in Computer Technology. Her
current educational pursuit of a BS Degree in Business
Administration from Mississippi Valley State University is soon to
be consummated. She is a member of the Religious Conference
Management Association, where she acquired her certification as a
Religious Conference Consultant.
Trusting God to be of service to His people, Sister Belinda has
also established Glorious Imprints Business Service, where she
shares her talents of promotional material design and production,
web site design, grant opportunity research, online survey
management and event management assistance.
She is the mother of two young ladies (Carissia Mayes, MA and
Leontra Mayes, Esq) and the grandmother of two precious little girls
and honors them all as a gift from God to be treasured as such.
Sister Belinda also counts it a blessed opportunity to share the
creativity God has trusted her with and prays that the work of her
hands will always be a blessing to many others as well as represent,
honor and show forth the glory of God.
